Easter 2017

We started our Easter by coming down and checking to see if the Easter Bunny came to visit the Rigle household. Lucky for me, he did!! Of course I was eager to dig in to all the stuff in my basket. It didn’t take me long to find the chocolate! Mommy was impressed that we got away with only eating ONE piece before she was able to divert me to breakfast.

After breakfast and a little play time, I was off to take a nap before we made our way to Mom Mom and Pop Pop’s for brunch and an easter egg hunt!!

As you can tell by the last picture here, I wasn’t much in the mood for pictures. We took what we could get and didn’t push too much.  After the egg hunt and opening my basket from Mom Mom, I took another little nap at her house then we went to dinner with Nana, Poppy, and Aunt Cole (and Mom Mom joined us)! This sadly went unpictured since I wanted to sit on Mommy’s lap the whole time. Since we were in a crowded restaurant Mommy didn’t want to not give me my wish and risk an all out meltdown!

Well, that wraps up our Easter day! We hope everyone had as nice as a day as we did!

Catching up….

Well, we have been pretty darn quiet over here. We apologize for that. Life took over and Mommy can barely keep up with me anymore, let alone have some free time to update the blog! After the holidays, we took a couple weeks to just relax, decompress and lay low.

We will catch up with the big events over the past couple months. We will start off with the Super Bowl! We had a party with some of our family, since “our” team was playing in it. The Patriots weren’t doing too good and we were all a bit discouraged so the party fizzled out after half time. They wound up coming back in the fourth quarter and tied it up! It went into OT and they won it!! Needless to say, Daddy was pretty excited (I wasn’t awake to see it but that’s what Mommy told me).

Next up, Valentine’s day! Mommy had the day off so we made our way over to Mom Mom’s to see her, Nola, and Maeve! We hung out for a little bit and had lunch together before Mommy and I made our way home to see our other Valentine, Daddy! Mommy and Daddy took me out to dinner as a special little treat to celebrate! As you can tell I enjoyed my quesadilla!! (also- please note the picture of me, Nola, and Maeve….that is REAL life. We clearly were not being very cooperative for a group shot that day!)

The next big event in this house is Daddy’s birthday (which also happens to be Pop Pop’s birthday too!). Daddy had work, so Mommy and I did some special things for him to come home to. I painted him a sign, helped pick out a cake, and went to pick out some balloons with Mommy! Once he was home we opened gifts, went out to get some dinner, sang to him, and ate some cake! What would a birthday without cake be?!

This past week we were supposed to have a monster snow storm. Mommy was excited because she already had the day off from work and wanted to take me out in the snow. The snow we’ve had earlier this season, I wasn’t really able to go out because I was either sick, or just getting over being sick. Well, we really didn’t get the snow they were calling for. We got a couple inches and then a lot of freezing rain/sleet. Luckily by the afternoon it had stopped raining/sleeting and we went out for a little bit! Daddy stayed home from work too so having him was a bonus on that yucky Tuesday! Since we got all that rain and sleet it wasn’t fluffy snow but we made the best of it! I’m pretty indifferent to this snow stuff right now. It is fun but it is pretty hard to walk in. I also don’t love being bundled up, all that stuff doesn’t make walking around in the snow any easier!

And that leads us to today! St. Patricks Day! We’re not up to much today but wearing our green (special thanks to Aunt Siobhan, Uncle Greg, Nola and Maeve for my shirt!) and spending time together! I hope you all have a nice day celebrating and I hope you enjoyed catching up on what has been going on around the Rigle house!

Christmas 2016

When I wake up in the morning, Mommy and I usually hang out in my room and snuggle on my chai for a little while. On Christmas morning Mommy was super quick to change my diaper and head downstairs with me. I wasn’t sure what the rush was but I went with it, and lucky for me I was in for lots of fun downstairs! I had to wait at the top of the steps to make sure Santa came before we made our way down! I was a big boy and came down the steps on my own this year. Last year I sat at the top of the steps and could barely hold my head up, so this year was a lot more interesting!

Once I got down, I spotted all the awesome stuff under the tree so we got right to opening! Some of my favorites of the morning were the ball pit, Mickey, and my blankies!!!

After my nap, Mom Mom and Pop Pop stopped by to see us and so that I could show them all of my new stuff! I loved that I got to see them!

After my second nap, we were off to Nana and Poppy’s house for dinner! I got spoiled by everyone there too! I got an awesome Mickey 4 wheeler quad, that I absolutely loved!

That wraps up our Christmas 2016!

Christmas Eve 2016

Another Christmas season has come and gone. It was a nice low key day for us here and in the evening we went to Mom Mom and Pop Pop’s house and then made our way over to Aunt Ann to see most of the Brennan’s!

That morning I woke up to a note from my elf, Rudy, along with a special treat! I was loving his special treat he left for me! I would have eaten the whole box if Mommy and Daddy let me! We also read the book “The Night Before Christmas” and I watched a special video Santa sent to Daddy’s phone.

After I woke up from my afternoon nap, Mommy got me dressed. After that we put out the cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. We knew once we got home that night I would have to head straight to bed so we had to do this part a little early! Don’t tell Santa but I stole one of his cookies while we were setting them out!

After we set our cookies out, it was time to make our way to Mom Mom and Pop Pop’s! We had some appetizers and then a gift exchange! I was spoiled by my aunts, uncles, cousins, Mom Mom and Pop Pop! I didn’t quite get the idea of opening the gifts but I loved everything and wanted it all once Mommy got it open for me!

Soon enough we were off to Aunt Ann’s house! Mommy wasn’t so good with pictures there but that just tells that we were all having a good time. I got to play with some of my second cousins and just buzzed around checking everything out! On the way home I feel asleep and, it was right in and to the crib for me so that Santa could come visit me!

Well that wraps up our Christmas Eve! We’ll be back with Christmas day fun soon!

Oh Christmas Tree

Wow…what a fun and busy weekend we had here in the Rigle house! We did ALL things Christmas this weekend!

We’ll start with Friday. Once Daddy got home from work we all took a trip to Feeney’s. They decorate the store for Christmas and have displays to look at. My favorite part? The lights, of course!

Saturday Morning after my first nap, Mommy and Daddy took me to see someone special, Santa! As you will see from my pictures, I wasn’t a huge fan at first, but then with a little bit of distraction, I realized that he wasn’t THAT bad.

After the excitement of meeting Santa (again), we were off to search for the perfect Christmas tree! It took us two stops to find the perfect one, but we got it!

We let the tree fall out for most of the day. Later that night after dinner, Daddy put the lights on!

Sunday it was ready and waiting for all the pretty ornaments. I was pretty un-phased by decorating the tree. Occasionally I’d want to hold an ornament but that was the extent of it for the most part. Mommy isn’t sure if she should be happy, or sad about this.

Don’t let that picture of me and Star by the tree fool you. I really love Star (actually one of my first “words” was ‘Hi Star’), I was just ready for bed and I was getting a head start towards the steps to go get my bath!

Well that about wraps up our fun, holiday filled weekend! I’ll be back with more soon!

Christmas Wagon Light Show

Last weekend we made plans to go to Shady Brook to see the Christmas light show that they have. After my reaction at Sesame Place with all the lights, Mommy and Daddy knew that making our way here was a MUST this Christmas season.

Funny Store behind this though. I know Mommy and Daddy had the thought to want to take me but someone else beat them to the punch. When I woke up that morning and Mommy brought me downstairs, we noticed that we had a visitor in the house. It was a little Elf. He had written me a note, left me some Christmas PJ’s and told me that there was a ticket for the light show for me at Aunt Siobhan’s house, along with Nola and Maeve’s tickets (their elf, Frost, accidentally picked mine up along with theirs…my elf told me that in his note). In my elf’s note hr told me that I had to pick his name and that he was there to watch that I was a good boy, and that he would report back to Santa each night. I can’t touch him though or he will lose his magic, I’m not really a fan of that rule though. I want to get my hands on everything that I possibly can. (By the way, my elf’s name is Rudy!)

Mom Mom, Pop Pop, Aunt Siobhan, Uncle Greg, Nola, Maeve, Nana, Aunt Cole, Ken and Hailey all joined us as well! We decided to ride through this on the wagon ride instead of our car. We wanted to get a little more out of the experience, but it was pretty chilly and windy. Despite the weather, we made the best of it and had a good time. Again I was in awe of all these lights. I just kept saying “woooo” the whole time. Rumor has it we will have our very own Christmas tree (with lots of lights on it) this weekend! I am really looking forward to that! I can’t wait to see how much I can drive Mommy crazy with it! Well enjoy these pictures, and we will be back with more Christmas fun throughout the month!!

A Very Furry Christmas x 2

So we’ve already gotten two trips to Sesame place in this Christmas Season! The first time we met Nana, Aunt Cole, Kayla, Gracie, and Hailey for a quick trip. The weather was nice and warm one Saturday (which also happen to be the opening day of a Very Furry Christmas) so we decided to take a ride over for a bit. While the girls were on a ride, Mommy, Daddy and I took a walk out to watch Santa light all the lights along “Sesame Street” and their big Christmas tree for the first time! I couldn’t see Santa but I heard him count down and then all of the sudden there were lights EVERYWHERE!!! I was in awe and loved looking all around at them!! Mommy was taking in the experience with me so this part went un-pictured. On our way out we got a couple pictures to remember the trip by!

Our second trip was on Saturday November 26 with Mom Mom, Aunt Siobhan, Uncle Greg, Nola, and Maeve! We brought Mom Mom along because it happened to be her birthday! Our first stop upon arriving was to head to the line to wait and see Santa. Our Mommy’s and Daddy’s were hoping for the best with the Santa visit, buuuuut, us kids had other plans. As soon as we got in the room with Santa we all started melting down, so we took whatever picture we could get!

We did a couple more rides, before we made our way over to have some lunch/dinner. After we filled our bellies, Mommy and Nola went on the swings together (it kinda became “their thing” at sesame).

After they rode the swings, Daddy wanted to take me on the teacups. I wasn’t sure what he was getting me into, but for the most part I actually really enjoyed it! I was so excited to go on this ride for the first time with Uncle Greg and Nola too!

After this we made our way over to get some pictures with the big Christmas tree, and then we went on a little train ride! I have to say this was probably my favorite part of the day! I didn’t want to get off but mommy told me our turn was over and other little kids needed to have a turn to have a ride, so I was OK with that!

I think that might wrap up our 2016 Sesame Season. I am really looking forward to going back next year already though!!
